Can anyone please tell me how to check whether my trailer connections at the rear are working? The fuses are all fine but the last two trailers (different ones) I towed the lights never worked. The brake lights and indicators were fine but never the lights. Frontrunner roofrack and ladder. Optima yellow top. National Luna dual battery system. Bridgestone Dueler D694 A/T.

Could be dirt in the vehicles connection plug - my trailers one indicator light always fails when first connected, after some wriggling it connects - I then squirted some Q20 in it and now fine.
In connection with the fuses I think there are two sets of fuses on the trailer line - one inside the left side rear compartment (where the original tow hitch is stored) and one with all the other fuses behind cubby. Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr. Tmax double headed built in compressor

Most reputable tow-bar fitment places should have a test rig . But as Deon said make sure you check the fuses at the left rear

Sandlover, get yourself a small test light, they are cheep and sell
them almost every where. It looks like steel pen with a screw on
protective cap over the point and keep in the car some where.
The reason why I recommend this one, is it has a sturdy point.
You will find on the trailer plugs, the male pins have a slot cut
in them and tend to bend closed on use, I just use the tester
point to open them up a little to get a better contact, now it's
a multi tool D3 bullbar-spots-roof rack with spots-ladder-long range tank-swing out spare wheel carrier- upgraded tow bar-dash console-internal water tank-duel awnings-drawer system & T T.

No sure if you've sorted this out yet but had this initially too. Turned out the 2x5AMP fuses in left rear Tow Pack fuse box were never fitted. Added them (bottom 2 if I remmeber correct) and viola. Have also seen that the fuse in the front behind glove box went (fuse 14) ... for lights What do you mean it won't go there ?

Thanks Guys.
I checked the rear fuses and the last (bottom) 5 Amp one had blown. Will replace and then check. Frontrunner roofrack and ladder. Optima yellow top. National Luna dual battery system. Bridgestone Dueler D694 A/T.
