Tracker
Insurance company requires a tracker fitting to my new car. I've never used one of these before, I've found this company http://www.trackerfit.co.uk/how-it-works that can do one for £185 fitted plus £149pa, does anyone have any better recommendations?DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

We went for a Tracker Locate, not sure if its the best but they seem OK had it for 15 months now and no complaints.

It not just price but also quality and reliability and the prospect of the firm still being around in future years. Well worth a call as they do sometimes offer deals over the phone.
The Tracker Locate model also allows for live on line tracking from your PC

I agree, we looked around tracker have been on the go a long time. If you compare the price of the locate to the price of your pride and joy HSE Lux no contest.

Agree. If it's stolen I wouldn't want it back. By the time they've smashed their way in, broken bits to get it going, then been involved in a police chase, I don't want to ever see it again.

So would you suggest he just goes out and buys (or lets his Insurer provide) another brand new Disco4 HSE Lux ?

My experience is that you'll get the price a dealer would pay you for it - NOT what you'd have to pay for a replacement - if you could find one.

I think I'll go for the tracker retrieve, they have 20% off at the moment bringing it down to £200 and 3 years monitoring for £239. You still get the 48hour guarantee and it complies with the insurance company requirements - I have to say I'm not sure I'd want it back, but I don't get a choice, if it's found I get it back if I don't have tracker I loose all my money DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
