Trying to understand the functioning of the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System as it sounds like potentially just something else to go wrong! - does it have something fitted within the tyre/wheel or is it fully mounted on the vehicle? ie if you switch to winter tyres/wheels rather than the original set, will it still work or do they require something fitted to them as well (or can you just disable it?)

I hope they're more reliable than the ones in the Chysler 300's, I've driven a couple of those and they just keep bonging and flashing all the time claiming incorrect tyre pressures when I've checked them manually and found all OK.

happy with mine - always correctly warned of low pressure and never had grief. Just remember that the spare tyre pressure needs to be about 40psi or it will flag an error. Don't know why they set this one that high!
need sensors on all spare sets of wheels or get continuous error message. If you are just using the wheels for an event that is OK, but if for the whole winter you need the valves fitted and paired for the new wheels. I think it was about £50 for each wheel when I looked at it.
Expensive system, but not as expensive as a blown tyre at speed...
