TPMS valves

I'm having my winter tyres fitted tomorrow and have 4 new tpms valves as I'm getting quite a few errors on my current ones and think it's battery related.

Tyre place told me I have to have them setup properly, but from what I read on here its just fit and forget??

How will the car know which sensor is in which tyre??

Cheers

Paul

They may not read straight away but if you drive the car for about 10 minutes they will show up Thumbs Up

There is a sensor on each corner of the vehicle. The sensors do not care which transmitter is in the wheel as long as they can pick a signal up they will be happy. As above it will take a short drive to get things working.
In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Mines not having it, It's telling me to check pressure in all 4 tyres, which are all correct, but that wont clear.
So I guess it's picked up the sensors if it's saying check all 4??

I cant remember if on a 2011 model you have the choice (in the service menu) of high or normal tyre pressure settings. If it's on high setting, that could be the reason why it's telling you to check the pressures.

I have just put my winter tyres on 255-55-19, from 275-45-21 and I haven’t noticed any difference, no warnings, no problem!

have you got the right TPMS valves, as when I fitted my 21's I had TPMS valves fitted that were "supposed" to be the right ones, but the car just wouldnt pick them up. Replaced them with some genuine ones and bingo, car got them first time.

There are a lot of chinese copies about of the LR TPMS valves - got all the right markings/etc. Where did you get the valves from?
