TPMS / Tyre Pressure system reset??

I’ve just put on my winter wheels / snow tyres; prepping for a trip to the Alps. It’s a ‘64 plate - MY15 I believe.

I went through the effort of buying D3 alloys; having them refurbed, buying the correct LR sensors and then having the tyres put on.

Anyway; I’ve put the wheels on and the dash is throwing up ‘tyre pressure monitoring system fault’ - is there any way to reset the system because; the valves are correct and so there should be no issue.

Please help.

Confused Not a lot of help I'm afraid but I did exactly the same and had no issues - system picked up the new wheels/sensors within 100yds Question

So did mine! You could try a hard reset.
There are two types of sensor, one purely has two settings, normal and high with a warning thrown up if you have a soft tyre, the later version I understand gives a pressure reading, the two types are not compatible.
The only additional settings in CCF are to enable/Diable the spare.

Yes, I have the system that give individual PSI readings under the menu. But I believe that the valves LR used did change six months after my VIN. I really did go to many lengths to confirm I had the correct valves.

The hard reset you mention; how can that be done? Garage only?

Ah thank you! I have the start / stop and from what I’ve read; I may be too cautious to do this... I may have to just put up with the yellow symbols on my dash!

It is more likely the change was made 6 months before your vin and you have somehow got the earlier sender valves. You are correct in using the vin and not the reg to order new valves, if LR supplied them I would be talking to them.
It usually only takes a few miles max for the valves to adapt to the system, I fitted spare to mine and it was almost instant.
With stop start follow the above guide and simply disconnect both both batteries and cover all the battery terminals with anything plastic as you take the lead off, then hold the end of battery leads together with anything metallic, length of wire, spanner etc. It is worth a try and will not cause any problems but I don’t think it is the cause of your fault.
A hard reset can also be done with an Iid tool without touching the battery terminals.
My MY14 has the low pressure warning only type and certain settings can be accessed by pressing the indicator stalk before I start the engine, I don’t know if there are any settings accessible on yours but it may be worth a look, same procedure as checking oil level Thumbs Up
