TPMS intermittent error

I have an intermittent error that informs me that the "right front tire is not being monitored". The error
comes and goes. It appears that the TPMS for that tire is working fine but suddenly the warning
light on the dash comes on and I get that message.
Any pointer how to troubleshoot this? could it be the unit inside the tire starting to go bad and behaving
erratically? or maybe the receiver/wiring?

thx

Try swapping the front right wheel with the back right. That should tell you whether it's a sensor fault on the wheel or something to do with the receiver/wireing in the front right wheel arch.

If it's the wheel sensor the intermittent fault will obviously then show it's now happening on the rear right.

The other thing is check the wiring to the reciever in the wheelarch - you'll have to remove/loosen the wheel are lining to get at it as it's fitting the the inside.
