TPM tyre moniter
Help required, having upgraded to 19" all terain tyres from 18" wheels the new rims do not have the TPM moniter fitted. Is their a way in which I can turn off the light on the dashboard or do I have to go to a dealer and ask them to reset the car computer to say no TPM wheels fitted? your help and guidance gratefully recived.
Thanks

TPMS is a pretty rare option. I happen to have it fitted on ours but I don't know many other people that do. I suspect that you are going to have to take a trip to the dealer or to meet a friendly forum member with BBS' magic box and a multi-vehicle licence.
How come you didn't transfer the sensors across?-------------------------------------------------------------------

the other alternative is to either get new sensors (ebay) or move the sensors from your 18" wheels to the 19s - the sensors are part of the valve assembly and the whole thing could be transferred over. Is it worth it rather than disabling? Well it only takes one front wheel blow out from low pressure to convince that spending £150 to sort it is better than £150 to switch it off.
BTW the safety benefit is such that new cars from 2014 must have TPMS fitted as standard.

Thanks I thought that would be case, appreciate it. I am keeping my 18" in case I may need winter tyres! trying an all Pirelli ATR first to see how it copes with the winter weather - if ness then will take the smaller rims in for winter set up.
Cheers
