Do you guys use snatch-straps (my Ozzie history) for that kind of tow or straightforward tow strops. Where do you get such things in this country?
most use straight tow ropes I think, through fear of getting killed performing a snatch recovery.
LOTS of places sell recovery equipment, just google "landrover recovery equipment" for plenty of results!2014 D4 XS

Just a normal recovery rope used, got mine in a group buy a while ago.
Its got hooks on the ends.Think you can get them at crane and lifting, someone smart will be along with the correct name soon Its not the height of the fall but the sudden stop at the bottom that hurts!!

The Scooby was helped by the lack of traction.... I tried to tow my parent's 3.5 tonne camper out of a field with my STI and just ended up burning out my clutch (no low ratio like the D3).. the lorry just needed that extra bit of momentum to get grip, the scooby just provided that last 5% needed.57 RRS TDV8
