If you have an aftermarket "vehicle specific wiring kit" fitted such as the Right Connections one, it will function exactly the same as the Landrover one. It is identical.
We have been fitting these for years. We fit more towbars than any one else in England, Ireland & Wales.Mitsubishi Outlander Phev 4H 2018.

I was lucky when I did mine, it worked 1st time, I say that cos some D3's need to be told they have the tow kit fitted. Its a dealer or a faultmate MSV2 equipped member for that.
Up North is Pete Bell (Bellautos), Wiggs can do this. Or Geoff darn sarth.
Secondly, have you checked the fuses in the harness loom in the rear N/S cubby.

I originally started this thread and have since fitted the OEM electrics kit to my 2007 D3 SE. All seems to be fine without any re-programming.

Actually, I may be wrong. Geoff did mine with his MSV2 a while ago. Once its been told the OEM tow kit is fitted is disable the D3's rear lights to stop glare from what ur towing.
Not witnessed mine doing that cos I aint towed for an age
I'm pretty sure my suspension is programmed in some way too. We always use access height to get in and out of the car. But after connecting the tintent electrics (13 pin) and starting the engine, the ride height is at normal without me touching the controls. This seems odd, because we are always able go to access height when parked up during any towing rest stops? Run silent, run deep!!
