Towing electrics fitting
I have the towing electrics wiring loom (13 pin) and detachable tow bar from my previous MY11 D4 and want to fit it this weekend on my MY14.............is this a straight plug & play or will it need to be enabled on the new car once fitted. As I had someone remove it for me, re-fitting looks straightforward enough, but are there any LR fitting instructions on the site, I had a quick look but couldn't find anything. Advice appreciated ChrisOn a mission to find the perfect Pork Pie. Just Found it (I think)..(Yes I have)

It will work fine but if you want some of other features to work e.g. disable of rear parking sensors when trailer connected then it will need enabling in the car config.

I assume the loom is not your original 11MY - if so it wont work.Mike

The looms change most MY's (but not all) - all the sports had different looms each MY and I was told the D4 13MY wouldn't fit the D4 14MY when I bought mine (not from the supplying dealer either!)
I have no idea what the differences are, but usually the plugs move, or they remove fuses or the connections are different etc.Mike

Strange then that there is only one part number listed for all D4 VINs, VPLAT0012

Ive only got a D3 one to compare to the D4, but that is different.
The sports all were...maybe I was lead astray - but it would have been in their interest to sell me the earlier version when they said it wouldn't fit - because the sports are definitely the same (eg each years different), I didn't question it.Mike
