More towing electrics-- Changing to 13 pin system?

A new caravan I hope to get in 2008 comes wired with a 13-pin electrics plug.
Clearly I could remove this and rewire twin 7 pin plugs or make up a conversion lead. However as our continental friends have been living with the 13-pin system for years LR must have a suitable harness for the Disco.
Is it available to us and is it worth the hassle of changing it all over?

I am tempted, as I have had some overheating problems with the notorious centre pin of the supplementary socket.

Can't you use an adapter for 7-13 pin instead,

If you are getting a new van then it's worth it - the only hassle is if you also use other older trailers. Mind you Brussels want the UK to change totally to the 13 pin by 2010.

I assume that they are the same as we have here, ie screw on type. These are much better as there is no chance that they can come off. I guess the UK 13 pin plug on the vans are screw on ? the LR 13 pin certainly are.
