I got most of the way down this thread thinking "Why does he need a hole in the tow cover when it has to come off anyway to plug in the electrics".

The cover seems to work well and I used it all over Europe last year. I had the Tow Pro from Specialised covers who were happy to supply the window material but said the guarantee would be void if I changed their design.
The only drawback with the cover is the removal at Eurotunnel for them to check the gas is turned off. I don't remove it completely, just one side so it's not too much mucking about. Keeps the van clean though.
Specialised do make one with a zip for the front locker which would save the mucking about but it costs £350!! FFRR 2017 4.4SDV8 Autobiography. Cost so much I must be mad!
