I was told it just stops the park sensors coming on in reverse and also stops the air suspension ride height changes from happening when the towbar electrics are used. So I had the local stealers sort the programming change whilst it was in. (must admit if I had had to pay for them to do it I wouldnt have bothered!) Must stop buying shiny toys....

The correct part I need is just 1 x 12S cable?

I think there Glynne you DO need to have a install in the LR system when parking sensors are fitted, this then cancells the rear ones when something is plugged in the sockets.
To be honest I would'nt fit a bar on the rear just for bikes. You have no access to the boot when they are on. Sling them on the roof, and get some of these and save yourself the hassle

MacLeod,
They need to go on the boot as we have huge roof box up on top. When we travel we go fully loaded!!!
I know the two bar / electrics / carrier is expensive but I have no other option.
With regards to the parking sensors..... could I not just turn them off manually?

Not sure which loom you need, as it depends on the wiring for the lights on the bike carrier. Mine's a Thule and has a Euro convertor to fit the twin electrics - Nick will knowMust stop buying shiny toys....
