I spoke to these people on Thursday and they confirmed that the towbar for the D3 will not be available until early 2006.

Tow sure are a well known brand, I guess they won't be detachable and probably not as heavy duty as the fixed LR one. Don't forget you will need atrip to the dealer for your car to be told it has a tow bar on. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Your car needs to be told it has a trailer on the back, but to do this it needs to go on the testbook system! DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Does this apply even if you are only using the towbar to hold a cycle carrier?

Does this apply even if you are only using the towbar to hold a cycle carrier? No, in fact it'd be preferable not to...
the system is basically told about the existence of tow-bar electrics and will prevent raising to offroad height when it senses that a trailer board is connected
