I have read a bit on here about how you can track your order on the site and view useful stuff.... ....but how do you access it? Jumping in using some of the links in other posts requires you to login as a dealer or other affiliated trade if you want to see anything other that the handbook as far as I can see. Is there a workaround known only to the venerable on here and if so could it be shared?

No work round - you just need to register.
To track your vehicle, you'll need the VIN. You can then enter this and it will bring up details of your car - options fitted and not fitted. D4 XS MY12 Galway

 Not really , the dealer bits just ,skip them , through topic I found out I had an extra 6 weeks warr , because the it was a dealer reg , then demo so warr started after the first owner got it , 2008 ,hse, it does what it says .
