Center Console removal -the console containing the gearshift
Hi,
I started to follow these directions for my 2013 LR4 HSE LUX. However, when I get to page 4 where it says "Then lifting up from the rear first of the centre console with (N) selected it can be removed",, the console doesn't budge. I'm pretty strong and feel like I could break something if I applied any more force.
Am I missing something here if I have a LUX edition with the armrest cooler? Maybe there are more bolts in this console for this package/option that I need to be aware of in addition to the normal 2 (two) bolts that I am supposed to remove on page 2 of the instructions?

I figured it out. It's the same method as the non-fridge models. I.e., it is just the two screws that need to come out. Then, using the palm of your hand(s) for leverage, pull straight up and out away. Pops right up/out. Whew.

Russell, I have another question for you. The left and right side center panels (left and right side on the A/C unit console), how did you remove these? I can't for the life of me get them off and I'm using enough force that is making me think i will break something. I attached a picture of the two panels.
Any tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated. I understand that I need to pull out and away at the bottom portion first (indicated by the red arrows) but this is the area that is the most difficult. Is there a tab? or is it a clip?
Many thanks!!!
