Adjusting suspension settigns |
|
Hi folks,
I don't know if my reading skills are poor today or if I'm just dumb but I'm a bit confused by the IID tool instructions on adjusting the suspension.
I'd like to have standard height be 20mm lower all round on my Disco 3 (I'm interested in what it does to fuel efficiency).
But in section 4.4.1 it says
"On L322-02, the off-road, motorway and access modes can also be changed"
So does this mean that if I lower standard mode by 20mm the other modes (access and off-road) will each be 20mm lower and there's nothing I can do about that on a L319?
Also what's "motorway" mode? Is it just something the L319 doesn't have?
Thanks,
Alex

Yes, if you lower by 20mm then access will be 50mm lower than that. So effectively 70mm lower than 'normal'.
The motorway 'setting' in that reference seems to be interchangeable with "highway" so suspect it just means normal.
I'm sure though that there is a 'Motorway' setting that automatically drops the suspension by a few mm (20?) when driven in excess of something like 90mph for a few minutes, then raises again when speed drops below 70. This can't be adjusted as far as I know.
Figures are guestimates, I'm sure someone will be able to confirm/clarify.
