Help required - random clock resets

All,

Thorughly enjoying D4 ownership after the G4, however I miss the orange glow in the morning Big Cry but I have a niggling problem, wondered if anyone could advise. I have tried searching the forum but with no success.

Occasionally, about once a week or so (although it appears to be more frequent when the car is wet) I approach the car and touch the handle to keyless unlock, and all I get is a small click and you can see the dashboard clock resetting. Usually I just take my hand off and try again and it unlocks as normal, although occasionally I have had to use the fob buttons. Everything still works and all the settings are there when I get in, I just have to reset the time and date on the displays.

Gut feel tells me it is probably the start of battery decline, but has anyone else got any clues? Doesn't seem to be 1 particular door, I have had the problem on both the drivers side doors, rear NS and also the boot. Car is 4 years old with about 40k on the clock.

I would check volts on battery cold then after a long run

Have you tried recharging your battery with a CTEK .... these can sometime give new life to a battery, or at least tell you if its ok

Someone with more knowledge will be along shortly
