Hi Everyone
Im new to this forum so go easy on me lol.
I have just noticed a Grinding/Grating noise from what seems to be the engine bay when Towing up hills. This only happens when towing anything over about 1.5ton and is only when accelerating as soon as i let off the gas it stops. There feels to be no kind of judder or any thing like that and no warning lights. Everything seems fine with it on normal day to day driving.
It is a 54 plate TDV6 SE, EGR blanked, BAS Remap and has had the timing belts done.
Thanks in advance for any help
Neil

Hi
Just an update,
The noise has now started slightly in normal driving when accelerating all sounds fine as you release of the accelerator, there is a slight grating/grinding noise sounds like dry bearings or something similar could this be the torque convertor? Also the aircon has stopped working could this be air con bearings? Noise is not very noticable when vehicle is not in gear and moving but there does sound to be some whirring coming from Aircon are when stationary and engine rev'd
Thanks Neil
