Here's a weird one - DAB problem. |
|
So on Friday I drive home from work listening to DAB radio - all is fine. I then load up the car with ten paving slabs, two kids and one wife, set the sat nav for her sister's house (Devon) turn on the car and... silence. It should be Steve Wright but zip. I switch to audio view and on the left side it has radio and my music and whatever the bottom one is but the DAB has gone as an option. I hadn't knocked anything loading the car. With much cursing with a four hour journey ahead of us we drive off, do a quick engine off stop shortly afterwards to see if that will work - no - and arrive in Tavistock much, much later.
We unload the slabs (and kids and wife) turn the car on and DAB works again.
Explain that please.

Had SWMBO not been in the car it would have been Real XS but I agree with your sentiments.

Put the slabs back in the car and see if it does it again. If it does, then don't ever put slabs in it again

I could drive all the way back down to Tavistock and pick them up but I might not either.

I put 0.6t of slabs in the back of mine, and my DAB wasn't affected.
It wasn't Steve Wright though Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

Though I agree that Steve is not the DJ he once was ("get the geese off", "throw the phone down" etc, etc) I would have to admit that it was all channels and not just R2 so not just a Discovery editing job.
