Thank-you gentlemen - do they have a name; I guess not otherwise you would have mentioned it.
As they are from a "base", ""earlier model" they should be very inexpensive when I need to buy some additional wheels
I don't expect anyone has any for sale, & I'm not really looking now, but what might I expect to pay for a set of 4 or 5 in good nick & without tyres?

As DD sez, standard 17"ers from lower models. Also fitted to some earlier D4s, seen a set on a D4 2.7 manual commercial. If I was buying a set of 5 I'd be looking to pay up to £100 without tyres, maybe up to £150 with tyres with a decent amount of tread. I used to buy these brand new (delivery take offs) for £50 a corner, wheel & Conti 4x4 Contact.

I paid £120 for 4,very good condition, with well-worn Cooper Discoverers on about 18 months ago "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...
Locking rear E-diff
RLD spare wheel protector & sump guard
Extended roof rails
Series 111 mudflaps
Black side tubes,grill and vents
Timed climate remote
Hids4u interior lights
D4 Firenze my2012 HSE
D3 Java 2005 SE manual (sold, sadly, thanks for the memories)
1966 '88 Series 2a....still starts in the morning better than I do...
Many thanks; I was offered a set of 5 last year, only done delivery mileage, for £160 - I should have bought them, but funds were & are tight!
If you have any more delivery take off 17" I would be interested.
I didn't realise they were fitted to some earlier D4s, I thought 18" was the minimum size for D4s.

You'd have to fight of character, he goes through a set a week, well almost. Don't do them any more as standardised on 18" ATRs, the discerning choice. Deffo did D4 in 17"ers, ISTR also seeing quite a few on the factory tour 3 and a bit years ago.

17" & 18" rims on D4's were for the 2.7 TDV6 models though. 3.0 TDV6 & SDV6 take 19" rims and bigger. I'm sure I've got that right, haven't I?
Anyone know of an alternative 18" rim for the 3.0 D4 other than the Compomotive?
