after putting off the job of fixing the rear tailgate cable,I now have the issue of a floppy armrest 
Before i decide to meddle with it or no,are there any guys had the same issue.Doing and undoing the twist knob has no effect either way.
Any ideas or quick fixes appreciated.

There is a biff pin that the twist knob should action against this pin falls out or becomes loose you need to take the arm off and then knock the pin back in to make it work...I have seen some that have broke as well.
