In our workshop, we use Opus Oils. They have specific low-ash formula, suitable for the 3.0 engine in the D4/RRS etc. Have been using it for nearly 3 years now with no issues
As long as it is the low-ash formula if you have a DPF, and the right grade, you will be fine My D3 Build Thread

Great, thanks for the response guys
Amazing - realistically the car is going to be used 99% of the time on road (some shorter trips but a lot of longer mixed driving journeys also. I hope to do some greenlaning in it shortly but this won't be anything too serious due to being a complete off road novice.....
Have you found a good 2T (2stroke oil) in Spain ?

DTs oil list (above) is very useful (thanks). Being in Germany, it's harder to find the C1 oil, and very hard to find the correct Castrol one without getting utterly seen off at the stealer. My D4 is showing just over half full after a long run and I wanted to top it up.
Thankfully, I've found the Liqui Moly Top Tech 4500 oil and at the great price of about E36 for 5 litres.
The LR dealer wanted almost E70 for the Castrol PAGODA

I have just purchased 10 litres of this http://www.carlube.co.uk/index.cfm?product...etic%20C1. Paid a total of £38.60 including free delivery from Euro Car Parts. This price is available if you enter "Midmonth25" in their promotions box.
Since I was quoted a total of £132 for engine oil (just under 6 litres required!) plus labour at £126 an hour, I have decided to service my RRS myself. Service kit from Duckworths was £88.50 + VAT.

Castrol actevo
Husqvarna (from garden equipment) people talk wonders on this ones, (i mean professional users, so...)
Motorex
Look for FB to FC spec and you will be fine.
2SO specs are not as legal checked as the engine oil ones(not too much regulated or illegal ones not prosecuted actively..)...too much blender that uses and puts what he wants in the label, so go to good and well known brands to be sure yoyu get what you paid.
You want it for diesel or for two stroke engines?
