Yellow (!) Brake Warning light on after renewing pads |
|
Me again!!
So, after finally getting the wheel off [see earlier post] the D3 was treated to new pads all round.
The (next ) issue I have [how I love Landrovers ] is that now I get the following:
1. On initial 'systems check' at startup I get the 'Check Brake Pads' warning. Just once, then it goes off.
2. Yellow brake warning light is on all the time.
Is this just a 'log message' that a plug-in by the amazing Geoff ( ) can cure, or is there summat more sinister I need to be stressing about now !
(brakes work fine, by the way.)
Your help, as always, is most appreciated
Gobbler If it has TIT's or WHEEL's it will cause you problems!!

Brake fluid is at normal level (did remove some when calipers were pushed back in), and sensor wire looks ok.
If it has TIT's or WHEEL's it will cause you problems!!

check to make sure the sensors are pushed home correctly into the pads and they are plugged in nice and tight slaso make sure you've not twisted the wires
ps had it recently with a members car who'd taken it to KF for brakes not fitted sensors correctly took them off re-fitted job done

So it's not an OBD2 fault log then Geoff??
Guess its wheels off again then (assuming nothing else breaks or sheers!!)
Cheers

Ok, now I'm getting p'd off!
Just changed both sensor cables as advised, but the fault still remains.
Anybody got any other (sensible!) ideas??
End of tether rapidly approaching...!

Right, just so you chaps know, and don't have to get vexed like I have done;
The culprit was a broken wire in the car side of the link plug underneath the n/s/f wheel arch cover.
Disassembled plug, resoldered wire, light out, job done! If it has TIT's or WHEEL's it will cause you problems!!
