Mobile Phone Integraton

Has anyone successfully integrated a Sony Ericsson 750i (or similar)? I have paired mine with Bluetooth and dialled a call but that's it. No hands free, directory or anything else. I am about to try a Nokia but would like to know if the SE is a lost cause before I spend hours trying to suss it out!

I think some people have used the 800i.

I've got an E61 which pairs OK & dials/receives, but no remote phonebook....

My Sony Ericsson P910i worked very well on bluetooth. My new HTC TyTn isn't so great. Some calls don't initiate the bluetooth connection, so just the phone ends up ringing rather than the car. To force it to work, I end up making a quick call out on the mobile (usually call the voicemail) which then forces the bluetooth connection on. It all works okay from that point onwards.

I have a K700i. This works fine, but is limited to making calls and answering them. The D3 PTI can't do phonebook transfer over bluetooth, and I gave up using the voice control. In my D3 this seems to be a mix between Dutch and English and always does the wrong thing... Sad
Pairing the K700i is sometimes difficult, taking a couple of retries, but apart from that it works ok.

ISTR another member had great probs with a 750......the new pti for MY 2008 should improve matters and have phonebook transfer but I don't know if it will be retro-upgradeable

For what its worth, a blackberry pearl works brilliantly over bluetooth

That's encouraging! If the 700i works then the 750i should. Maybe I should be looking at the profile setup in the phone.

WRT to voice recognition, I can't even get the radio commands to work. Fat chance with the phone!! Rolling Eyes

Yep, the pairing is ok. It's the functionality (hands free) I can't get to work.
