Alignment shrewsbury area ? |
|
Any recommendations where I can get a full alignment check done, my front tyres are feathering badly on their inside edges and I need some new rears soon so intend to swap them over and get new ones at the same time.
Thanks in advance, Mike

You need to check your lower arm bushes first because if they are worn and this is causing your tryres wear then nobody can do the 4 wheel alignment until these have been replaced.

Will do , going to be servicing it this weekend so I'll have it up on stands anyway. Just need to find somewhere to get it done that can set it up properly before I invest in any new rubber.

Found a place local in market drayton with a hunter and they knew straightaway about the disco, locking down the suspension with autologic and weighting the car. He advised me to check my bearings and bushes for play, which I'd already done at the weekend while doing a service. Just as well as the os front bearing has loads of play ... New hub assembly promptly ordered and hopefully will get it booked in later this week for the alignment. Also given all the bolts a good dose of WD40 for good measure !
They quoted 90 notes for the alignment and my tyre man reckons on 142 ea for 18" pirelli scorpians fitted which seems about right.
