Gouge in the tyre wall
Just noticed there's a gouge in the lump of rubber that runs around the tyre near the alloy lip. (there's a chunk out of that too) - Am I right in thinking the rubber there is pretty thick (to protect the lip of the rim) and not something to worry about. They are michelin latitudes 255/55/r19.2006 TDV6 HSE Wrapped Matt Black STOLEN NOT RECOVERED

Does look like its in the extra rubber of the rim protector, are there any signs of a deeper split or and cords showing?Altox GSM FBH controller thread

No - there are no cords showing or anything - the gouge is basically in the rubber lip taking it down to the depth of the rest of the tyre wall - I could pull the flap off.2006 TDV6 HSE Wrapped Matt Black STOLEN NOT RECOVERED

Had it checked by local specialist and was given the all clear - apparently it was the rim protector trying to do its job and not a problem - good to get it checked though! Ta for all the advice...2006 TDV6 HSE Wrapped Matt Black STOLEN NOT RECOVERED
