Code Interpretation- Please Help! |
|
Hi All,
Finally took the plunge and got myself an IID tool last weekend and have been playing with it ever since ( I think the tool is a must have).
I need help with the interpretation of following codes please:
( Note : I've been battling with lowered front suspension and HDT not available issues)
Body Control
• B1B91-3A (2F) Seat tilt motor speed/position sensor - Frequency modulation/pulse width modulation failure - incorrect, has too many pulses
( at 286650 km )
• B1C26-3A (2F) Pedal motor feedback circuit - Frequency modulation/pulse width modulation failure - incorrect, has too many pulses
( at 286650 km )
• B1C32-13 (2F) Steering column tilt solenoid - General electrical failure - circuit open
( at 286650 km )
• B1C34-13 (2F) Steering column telescope solenoid - General electrical failure - circuit open
( at 286650 km )
Transfer Case
• U0122-87 (2F) Lost communication with vehicle dynamics control module - Bus signal/message failure - missing a message
( at 286650 km )
I initially had catalog of faults which I cleared but the faults above came up on the second diagnosis after clearing the first one.
Cheers,
Mo

FYI, some body control faults are common. I wouldn't worry if there's no physical problems.

Oh Thanks.
So I should only worry about the Transfer Case. Would you advise I change the Front Transfer case with a brand new one from Fleabay?
Transfer Case

I think you'll find that fault codes that begin with U can generally be ignored as they are only communication errors.
The ones to worry about are those beginning with
B- body codes
C- chassis codes
P- power codes (engine)
But if you've got no physical problems, don't lose sleep 😄

hi Mo
one of the best things i ever bought and found the after service from Pat at gap is second to none
may i ask have u got an electric steering column , pedals , if not wonder if it's been turned on through the CCF menu as an option
ref ur front suspension when you've removed the F26 fuse do both front struts drop overnight , know it's annoying , after i pulled the fuse found my front passenger side drops, got to investigate further if it's an air leak or faulty strut
since clearing faults is every working ok now
hope all is well

yeah ignore U codes
The tool doesn't always help unless you have a light on the dash.
you would be better off replacing the seals in the front valve block (get them from ebay)

Thanks!
Would have to go through advised procedures.
All still not working well after clearing the faults. Would change the front valve seals and see where that takes me.
Yellow lights are on on the break and the stability symbol then special programs/HDC still not available.
Regards,
Mo

If you have more than 1 light on you have a more serious fault.
Maybe a can bus fault (twisted yellow wires) ? maybe a wire chaffed in the rear left wheel arch ? ? ? just guesses
