Nick, My alarm is very low volume. First time it went off thought it was someone elses.
I have to say I'm starting to loose interest in this site because of the ease with which just about every thread goes off topic and starts on about "sheep" etc.
Martin, what say you create a "sheep" thread and all the crap goes in there. That way anything to do with D3's can be easily found without the trawl. ..............Somewhere in-between my old D3 and what's to come next .........

Hi Lee,
There is an "Off Topic" topic in Off Topic (called OTTOT), but as yet it's not that busy. Sorry to hear that you're finding the site difficult, I'm hoping that with some gentle prodding the banter and off topic stuff will move to where its supposed to be. (Hint guys )
Stick with me for now, I'm going to clean up the off topic stuff to make the real info easier to find 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

They all are, possibly because no one listens anyway now a days and to reduce annoyance. Don't forget alarms are under compliance of Thatcham, which is not government, but a private body for insurance companies. They say you have to have a Cat 1 system that sounds for no more than 20 seconds, then resets.
The government say don't make a noise, so it really could be a compromise.
Hopefully amongst the humour we are helping people.
