Solar Panel
Thinking of installing a solar panel on the roof of our caravan to keep the battery topped up while it is in storage

I'd use 4 velcro stuck down strips to keep it on the roof in case of winds and a quick connector as well if possible going out through a skylight that can easily be popped off and so on
10w should be more than enough to keep it topped up unless you have a high draining alarm and tracker..FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner
Test piloted a new D4 XS SDV6.. Gone and being forgotten i hope!!

i have bought from the myself and seem to be very reliable and prices seem very good, the size of panel will depend on the amount of use you intend to use the caravan without electric, if it is just to keep battery topped up whilst in storage then 10-12 watt is ample and would not need a regulator, if as in my case you use the caravan a lot with out mains electrcity then some thing larger like 60 watt or even 80 watt may be more suitable but will require a regulator to make sure that you don't over charge the battery. if it si in storage i would want something more permanent than velcro just for the security side of it unless you where to put it in the window or skylight insted of on the roof.Tintenter
