Rear Cam Seal

Hi All...

My D3 ( 65k miles ) is currently in having the 105K 7 Year service and the dealer has reported that the Rear Cam Seal is leaking...

Ive done a search on here and I haven found anything to help..

Any Ideas?

They reckon its a 7hr job to replace it which is obviously a wallet emptying prospect!!!

Are they trying to have my pants down?? HELP!!!!

according to RTS the SRO code for rear camshaft seal is 12.13.06 and timed at 1.3 hours for pre 07 and 1.7 for post 07 TLO has left the building.......

So am I right in assuming that they would have had to have the body off to replace the rear belts? As that's when they said they noticed it leaking?

Something doesn't sound right..??

Belts can be done with the body in place Thumbs Up

Cam seal, after thinking about it, I still don't see how it can be done with the body in place... My D3 Build Thread
