Problem seat base cushion moving.
Hopefully some one can shed some light on this as its starting to give me a sore back now, the drivers side seat base seems to (after you have been sat on it) move forwards in relation to the seat back so you end up with a gap between the rear of the base and the seat back.
If you pull the base back it sort of pivots up and back into the correct position and is comfortable again for a couple of miles before it sags forwards again.
Any ideas before I pull the seat apart?

When I had this on my D3 some time ago now a new seat frame was fitted. Cured the problem, but it was a warranty job.

I need to get the side cover off but it looks like the front of the seat base is on a motor drive shaft and its that which is 'sagging', not sure but there looks to be a bolt at either end where the seat base fixes, could be either loose or not locking in place correctly...
Does the front of the seat base mechanism latch somehow into the ends of the shaft from the seat motor?(i'm guessing this is the motor that makes the front of the seat go up and down)

Remove the seat base itself. Quiet easy. 2 Hex bolts front and 2 back. This gives you an overview of the complete mechanics.
Remove the black cover on the front which protects the wiring for access.CLUB ILLEGAL CAR WASHERS

Ok so figured this out, removed the seat base and found that all 4 of the fix points in the metal seat shell had fractured.
Cure, remove the cover and cushion weld then back into place and job sorted.
