I spent many hours under the car trying to get my starter motor out. Finally I abandoned it, and went with the blob of paint concept on the front pulley when I did my belts.
I would be interested in how this comes out, as I couldn't find a way.
Cheers

I helped a mate of mine pull the starter motor and it took forever. Felt like we were disassembling the car and even then there seemed to be an almost impossible trick to get the thing out. The workshop manual was not a great help either.
Made a mental note not to try it again - one for my indie.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Need to get the starter out to lock the flywheel as nut on crankshaft pulley needs to come off to change the oil pump to the modified one Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!
