It says to align the roof bar with the "cutouts" in the roof rails. If you don't, the locking tab won't be able to be closed. It will be common sense when you're dealing with the real thing don't worry.Dennis

Wow, fast answer. Makes sense. I am pretty much start first and when in doubt do it all over again, and if needed again. Manuals are for sissies and shouldn't have looked at the manual anyway. Unlike Ikea, all looks straight forward until you start putting it together..... RLD Sump Guard
