'A' Frame - Sorry if I outbid you!! |
|
Just secured a new genuine LR 'A' Frame [part no VUB501210] through e-bay this afternoon.
Went in first time with 45 seconds to go & got it.
Paid £200 ... LR price £387 [Oct04].
Point of this is to say sorry if I outbid a fellow D3.co.uk member .... but tough luck
Anyway - how easy are they to fit ...or is it best left to dealer??
and - should I have the Spots fitted at the same time
Next on the list is a 'Chimney' [as swmbo calls it]!!!
G4 Stickered, Light Guards, 'A' Frame, Spots [with Raised Air Intake to come] ... it's getting there!!
...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Congratulations.
I think the 'Guidelines' for e-baying, is if you haven't claimed dibs on it in this forum, then it is fair game to free bid.
If you have claimed dibs, then usually some PM negotiation with other members on your potential bid value would be the order of the day so that you know already if you will out-bid each other & come to some arrangement. This way it ensures that you still get the lowest bid.
Maybe we could formulate more detailed guidleines without makeing them 'da rulz' ? Bodsys Brake Bible

There's nothing illegal about friends discussing what they would or wouldn't pay for a particular item or service. It's only illegal if you're doing it to make more money (i.e. Shill bidding or getting your friends to bid to increase the price or if you are a business yourself trying to bargain out other players. Can't see anything wrong with discussing the max payments between friends though.....
Only works if you're definately buying and if all parties stick to the guidelines. Doesn't work if you ask what everyone else will bid up to and then go and bid on it yourself slightly over the agreed highest bidder! Bodsys Brake Bible
