Cig lighter socket in centre console

2006 base spec
Would like to stick a socket in the back of the cubby box for kids toys
Any ideas where I can take the wiring from?
Do higher spec models have a socket here?
Would the wiring be present?
Where would I get a socket from?

Thanks

Yes that is the location on all models, as you have an early year I think you'll have the wiring and just need the panel with the socket, try a breakers but it will not be too expensive new, contact the large one , Yeovil LR parts manager and forum sponsor for details Thumbs Up

There is a connector you could use.. its Light Green with a White stripe on it. but that is limited to 10Amps fuse. This one is located under the cubby box. for the Cool box if not fitted, this would be one to go. or you can find a wire that is Purple and with a Green stripe rated 15Amps. this one's for socket outlet for the 2.nd row seats.
This is what you have to look for:

Hope it helps.

The panel needed only comes as part of the aux panel so you will need

XVO500020 £46.00

The 12v socket is

YXW500070PVJ £12.79

Hi Graeme
I have the same model as you and recently fitted the aux panel with the 12V and
also added the 12V to the boot which is also missing on the base model.
Very easy job - I managed to get the aux panel on this forum 2nd hand so got it cheap.
