Slick 50
I changed my oil and filter today and also treated the engine to slick 50.
Before this treatment the oil pressure light would stay on for about 3-4 seconds after starting from cold.
It now goes out immediately and the engine seems to be a bit quieter and smoother.
I remember seeing an advert for slick 50 about 25 years ago where they treated a Ford Sierra (i think) and ran it without any oil after treatment and it kept on going. Not that I would recommend that but you get the idea. D3 SE

Bought a brand new Bedford Rascal van in 1987. On day two of ownership I added Slick 50 to the gearbox and axle and planned to add it to the engine oil after the first service. I had to have a compete set of gearbx bearings under warranty at 200 miles! Could have just been an unfortunate coincidence but i drained and changed the axle oil and I've never used Slick 50 since.

Lots of testing over the years shows that it does nothing. The good news is that the level of nothing is so extreme that I don't think it does any harm either, but LR do not recommend it in case particles clump in the narrower oil passages.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
