near side front door wont lock
can some one please help.
my discovery 3 near side front door wont lock in any way also the key hole mechanism seems stiff.
the lock botton on the door wont push in or pull out.
when I lock the car the button doesn't move but I can hear the solinoid working.

My Drivers door does this. Using http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic61856.html sorted it for a while but it seems to have forgotten how to lock and the quick fix above doesn't make any changes.
Good job I live in a nice part of Yorkshire....26 and on the 4th LR..

Common problem. You need a new actuator. Takes about 25 mins to swap over first time.
Door card off. Unbolt window mechanism (bit of tape on glass if you like), dismantle handle (rear part has tabs, then pull handle backwards, 2 hex or allen heads IIRC), unbolt latch and swap over.
I've done rear drivers side on my Disco and front passenger side on wife's Freelander.

Some people say to remove the electric window motor - there is no need, just unbolt and slip hand in front.
