Footwell lights in S version...

Dear Lad`s and Gent`s,

Has anyone tried, and succeeded, to install the footwell and puddle lights in a S version ? Of course I mean aftermarket ? I presume the wiring is already there, so a couple of fixtures will do the trick...

Anyone posted some pictures of these "gadgets" at work ?

Thanks,

JAB

I haven't fitted any but i can show you some pictures of them.

I would suggest you have a look under the door panels and see if you have the hole (or blanking plate ) there.

If you have have a feel round for the little plug..2 pin

Puddle lights

light just pops out

and here's the one in the passenger footwell ..just pops out aswell.

If you find the little plug i would put a multi meter across the terminals with the door open to make sure theres power there before buying the lamps... Smile

Oke,

Must have mistaken the footwell lights with the puddle lights... Embarassed

Yust for the record:

- Puddle = unther doors,
- Footwell = unther steering wheel and in place of passenger....

(Stupid duthies, think they have knowledge of Englisch language...)

Thanks for the understanding of you all !!

Laughing

Puddle lights are for seeing puddles when you open the door. My 06 'S' has them.

In Holland, the puddle and footwell lights are part of the so-called 'Bright Pack'. This is standard on the Dutch SE and HSE versions, but not installed on the 'S'. According to the price list, it can't even be installed as an option... Shocked At least, for the 2006 MY that is.
The other items included in the 'Bright Pack' are: front fog lights, auto headlights, headlight sprayers, rain sensor for the wipers, and auto dimming rear view mirror.

It seems that the UK models are better equipped than their European counterparts. Well, as far as D3's go anyway Laughing

JAB, Ollram, let's hope the wires and connectors are there anyway on your 'S'.
