Paint defect - where bumper protector meets paintwork

Winter's over, so snow foamed, clay barred and carnauba waxed my D4, all ready for its 2nd year service on Monday (and printed out a big note saying "No Courtesy Car Wash Please").

Anyway, noticed bubbling of paint where the bumper protector meets the paintwork.
So that's added to EPB + towing electrics software activation (still beeps in reverse) for discussion tomorrow Smile

No - it was yesterday evening when I was polishing it that I noticed.
So I thought I would just leave it for the dealer to look at. They can break the paint if they want.
I need to read up on the paintwork warranty.

That looks defective to me so long as warranty is still in place they should rectify.

There is signs of paint on the actual bumper protector and orange peel paint finish, looks to me as if that has been bashed and repaired prior to your ownership

You've got the eyes of a hawk. Do you also have the strength of a bear and the speed of a puma? Wink

Sure does - I had to go out to the car to have a better look.
The bumper protector does move about 1cm sideways, so it could be picking up a bit of paint flake.
I don't want to pull it off to have a better look until I get a yes or a no for warranty work.
