Can you supply some further detail as to how you were able to create the rear locker "on/off" circuitry?

ARB do one. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Why not speak to Quaife or someone about an air locker of some sort?
That would be easier to do and could get a front one as well then.
Plumb them both into the same line and then when pressure is activated both front and rear lock which is kinda what you need when your off road and think you'll get some slippage
Would the locking diff setup from a sport or FF not do the job as well? FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner
Test piloted a new D4 XS SDV6.. Gone and being forgotten i hope!!

I think they do rear but only for D3? “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

With the arb system, is it possible to tap in to the air res. that is allready on the D3 to get the locks to work?

You should be able to but use a regulator to reduce the pressure. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

The ARB locker is air actuated and uses an air compressor to supply the air pressure.
You should be able to run a line from the tank on a D3 or the line on a D4. The air suspension on a disco works at 240 psi which will likely be too much for the seals on the ARB diff. Putting a regulator in the line will reduce the pressure. The switch will lose very little air so will not affect the compressor. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

"Unfortunately, the experience is only half complete, as only the front locker has been installed. The rear was incompatible with 2010 and later LR4s, due to a bearing size change. I know that ARB is working on it, and I hope to have an update soon."
You will need to ask ARB where they are up to. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

marcap599 wrote:Well, after a long time I now have my e-diff fitted in the D4.
Actually need to plug the electronic module but all the mechanics job are done.
I can confirm that no half-shafts replacement is required.
Befor to plug-in my electronic control prototype I'm looking for the plug for the temperature sensor, I wish to add this control on the board.
Hi Marcap599, Hi All,
I am back on this topic as I have been looking at different solutions to fit a rear diff lock.
I am exploring the option of retrofitting one without connecting it with the terrain response.
My question for you is: can you retrofit one keeping it disconnected from the terrain respond?
Ideally activated and dis-activated with a button. The thing to understand is: how will it work in synergy with Electronic Traction Control and Terrain Response?
I would guess in the same way the ARB does on the Disco 3.
Can anyone comment and share experience if any?
Many thanks
Nic
