D3 video with a difference...

Have been playing with my D3Cam today...

http://automagicly.com/landrover/movies/D3OnRoadVideo.wmv

Not quite up to DiscoStu standards - but not bad for a first attempt? 8)

Hope you like it!

Could you go back & see if you can time it to stop at a few more red lights...... Smile

It's great seeing how much higher you are in a D3 than 'ordinary' cars. Thumbs Up

Looks good, I can see the attraction of having a large 4x4 in an urban environment when its played that fast. You can see eveyone getting out of your way.

So, thats London Town - The D3 Tour, howabout your next one , M6 "The whole story"

On a serious note, this kit could be ideal in an insurance dispute.

How about a rear facing camera to shop all the a**holes that tailgate you on the motorway?

I wonder if the police would be bothered with video evidence presented to them?

I thought about having the camera running for the WHOLE trip - but as you can see towards the end as I get out onto the M40 - the camera doesn't do well when the light fades. Also my D3Cam is nowhere near as slick as DiscoStu's - its a £20 webcam attached to my laptop - which has only 2 hours battery life until I can get a car charger or invertor sorted (which will be soon as there's some neat little 100W ones for about £7 on ebay)

I was slightly nervous about being stopped by plod with my laptop sat on the passenger seat. Interestingly, the very first building you see on the video is MI5 headquarters - that was another nervous moment... Wink

My webcam is made for use with laptop and has a nice double horseshoe clip on the back - this fits easy over the top/front edge of the sunvisor.

Being an old Westminster sweat myself, aint that a bit of a long route from your hotel to Marble Arch? Should have cut past Scotland Yard and up the Buck Palace side of Green Park No? Wink

Only pullin yer leg mate Laughing

Wa wa wait a minute! does that route keep you out of the Congestion ££££ zone?
