Tom Tom POI

I have a Tom Tom with about 4500 POI, which are all work site locations. I believe Tom Tom files are in OV2 file format.

My question is, is there a way of converting all theses files and uploading them to the Disco via the USB socket, the car is a MY13.

Hope someone can provide an idiots guide as this will mean I don't have to use the Tom Tom all the time.

I think you will find the LR SatNav a disappointment compared with TomTom - I certainly do.

I use TomTom in preference to the LF product every time.

DG posted a video demo of the GPX POIs on his MY13. Not used it myself but I understand you can use this tool to convert OV2 files into GPX format to be D4 friendly:

I think the MY13 SatNav is ok.

The 2013MY sat nav is far superior to older versions and it's much neater and less hassle than having a portable unit hanging off your windscreen ....so I wouldn't be so ready to right it off Whistle Wink

Steve it can be done but you will need to convert your files to .gpx format for them to work on the LR system.

Here is an example of my first upload of speed cameras ...but since then I have added lots more...they work very well Thumbs Up

Hi Robbie,

Thanks for the link, I have come across this site, so far not had much luck with it. I suppose I just need to persevere with it.

DG - I have seen your YouTube video, thats what gave me the inspiration, to think that it was possible Thumbs Up

Now that I have my D4 I have been able to put some of my POI off my Tom Tom onto the D4 unit Thumbs Up

My next question.

I have only transfered a small amount of locations so far, about 250. When I come to do a search, the list of locations seems to start from thoses closest to my current location, can this list be put in alphabetical or numerical order ?

Heres hoping
