I'm guessing there are no engine performance remapping like Turbochip available yet for the petrol LR3s. Is this a correct assumption? I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

No you're assertion is untrue.
All LRs including petrol models can be remapped

For all members info....ALL Petrol LRs use DENSO engine management systems which are technically very difficult to decode and even harder to adjust the engine maps.

Well next time around I probably will.
As a daily driver the V6 is more than enough for me - I drive like a granny
But now that I'm venturing offroad, although it hasn't been a hindrance so far, I figure an extra 30+hp can't hurt & is much cheaper at this point. I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

Does anyone have a contact for a company re-mapping or re-chipping the V8 gas 4.4l engine? I have one and would love some more power for on-road use and maybe a little extra torque for off-roading.

I'd like to know as well. The LR3 is down 30hp from my old Jeep Grand Cherokee, and is a heavier vehicle.
I still think it's lively enough, but once you've been on a power trip, nothing is better.
Many of the modern engines are not able to be re- tuned (my current BMW comes to mind) because the factory tuners have taken all the "space". '06 LR3 4.4 V8 HSE Heavy Duty package, Satellite Radio, Luxury Package

JE tune the SC RRS which is essentially the same lump with the addition of the supercharger and sleeved cylinders AFAIK and it looks like they're working on the normally aspirated 4.4l too. Probably not a lot of help to you guys and gals over the pond but it might be worth dropping them a line to see if they can point you in the right direction The End
