Mile per Imp Gallon, Mile Per US Gallon, Liter per 100Km
Hi evry body
You all speak in MPG
My question is :
First I presume you speak of status Mile ==> 1,6 Km and not in Nautical Mile 1,852 Km
But when you speak in Gallon, is it
Imp Gallon ==> 4,55 liters
Or
US Gallon ==> 3,79 liters
Are the UK LR's computer giving Mile per Imp Gallon and US LR's computers giving Mile per US Gallon
Of course as you Know the French make the opposite of UK people, so we measure the consumption in Liters per 100 Kilometers
In the owner manual, no where the unit use by the computer about Gallon (Us or Imp) are mentioned.
One thing clear for French is L/100Km of course it will be my choice, but to compare with your consumption, I have made an excel sheet.
I will be able to use it after your responses about US or Imp Gallon (or Both)

Don't get me started ....
Just a few corrections...
1 mile = 1.609km
1 UK Gallon = 4.544 litres
1 US Gallon = 3.6352 litres
1 UK Gallon = 8 pints = 8 x 20 or 160 fluid ounces
1 US Gallon = 8 pints = 8 x 16 or 128 fluid ounces
To convert metric fuel consumption ( litre/100km) to UK MPG (or vice versa) divide the amount into 282.41
To convert metric fuel consumption ( litre/100km) to US MPG (or vice versa) divide the amount into 225.93
Thus 30 UK MPG = 9.414 litre/100km
and 30 US MPG = 7.531 litre/100km
and 10 litre/100km = 28.241 UK MPG
and 10 litre/100km = 22.593 US MPG

So if I get 15 US mpg on average that's about 18 UK mpg...
Huh, didn't think about that before...hope the LR3 is set to monitor in US measurements or I'm in worse shape than I thought. Heads spinning now, I'll stop I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

A lot of things, but does not give any response to my question
Thanks qzdcg8 for the lesson.
I know exactly the value of an IMP Gallon, an US gallon, and all funny units you are using.
But it was not my question.
I repeat again:
Are the UK LR's computer giving Mile per Imp Gallon and US LR's computers giving Mile per US Gallon?
So when I’ll have the response, I’ll be able to translate your MPG in L/100km with the exact ratio
