Deal done
Well the pestering is now at an end, just done a deal on a 2008 Model 57 Reg Disco 3 TDV6 HSE with rear air con, privacy glass, tow pack and locking rear diff, Zermatt with Ebony leather. Picking up on 7th December. Now I need to find something for rear seat entertainment and find out how I can replace the horrible wood with the normal noble finish as in the SE spec!!

Congratulations on the new D3
Please let me know if you ever want to sell on your horrible 'old' wood panels from the HSE......I know I've got very poor taste, but I really like the effect...

Now about this wood....
I've got a 2008MY SE with the Brunel finish (think theres a pic in gallery) that I reckon would (wood!) look better with the HSE wood finish

er indoors has decreed that she will look at the wood when it comes and made her decision then. Quite like the piano finish, not sure how it would look with the black trim. Does anyone have pics of piano with black please?
I have ordered my LED bulbs as I always see D3's with bulbs out. I'm thinking about a Torq Tune, not sure how much it is. I just need to sort out rear entertainment of some sort.
It's going to be a long 2 weeks.

My D3 is 18 months old and no bulbs gone or out on mine....
Torq Tune will set you back circa £600-£700 (can't remember the exact amount)
Nice spec

The rouched leather on the HSE looks softer than the other leather but are the seats softer to sit on. I have only driven the 2007 HSE and the saleman said that they were softer on the 2008. Was this just sales talk?
iv'e driven all from 04/54 to 08/57 and this is the most comfotable seat yet.......TLO has left the building.......

Glad the seats are good as they have been great in the Volvo. As I'm counting down the days to collection, I'm ponding a few other bits.
1- Torq Tune - Where do I get it, what does it cost, could it invalidate my warranty.
2 - Webasto pre-heater timer thingy. I am in no way practical and wouldn't attempt to fit one of these things but I would like to have it. Is there anyone fitting these commercially and/or would the supplying dealer do it if I asked them as per the Russian TSB iof I paid for it.
PM "10forcash" re TorqTunel & he may also be willing to fit the Webasto Timer kit which "Countrywide" is organising a group buy for.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

For TorqTune PM 10forcash for details. Well worth it but check with insurer first as some won't cover you or add an massive hike to premium (LR Ins was only £70 uplift but they are expensive to start with).

Ok, they're softer and LargeOne reckons they're more comfortable.
BUT ... are they supportive enough????
I recall [a good few years ago] the difference between Vauhall with firm seats and Renault with soft/comfy seats.
Initially sitting in them, the soft Renault ones seemd the most comfortable
But in the long hauls, the Vauxhall were best for support whilst the Renault caused me back pain.
No problem with my current seats not being supportive [covered 90k+ miles]...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Only if you tell them.... the remap is transparent to the dealer (despite LR's latestefforts at detecting software changes ) although they'l be able totell the difference once they test drive it
