diff pump
Hi All,
I'm going to change the diff oil and have invested in a Laser dispensing pump. Although it's supposed to be brand new, it has a small amount of oil in it, as if it has been used. Does any one know if they are supposed to be like this.
All the best Andi.

Could just be oil intended as a water displacer whilst it's sat around waiting for you or I to buy it? I would, perhaps, have expected all surfaces to have been coated with oil when it left the factory to repel moisture and prevent any of the metal components from corroding.

Cheers for the reply
The pump basically consists of a transparent plastic tube with a plunger fitted with an O ring seal, so not much to rust. However maybe the oil stops the O ring drying out.
