'You' don't - the car does it itself.

It's engaged automatically if and when needed. You don't have to do anything. The car handles everything. And it does a good job too. Thumbs Up

It is not a manual diff lock - the system looks after itself.

It does it automatically, it can be tricked into engaging in rock crawl/low box. Obvious question but do you know if you've got a rear diff? Very rare fitted option.

Thx

This forum is amazing! I had two questions today as i just found the site, and both were answered right away!

My Disco 4 has the symbols for diff lock in two positions on the 4x4 info screen. I thought this ment i had the optional rear diff lock...?

You need to look for the electronic diff itself, rather then the screen icon.

Put her in low box & rock crawl with the 4x4 info screen. Move off slowly and the centre diff lock should go red, as will the rear if you've got it.

Well it does on a D3. Whistle

Don't think the quick flash of red you get on the D3 happens on the D4. Well, I've not triggered it yet.
