How do you adjust the beam height on Xenon lights

I have just fitted new xenon headlights to my Disco 4 XS which came with the candle power Halogen lights.

The head lights are genuine Landrover, they work great however on dipped beam I seem to be dazzling people as the beam looks a bit high, can you adjust this if so how?

Thank you in advance, I also moved the HID kit fitted by the dealer over to replace the Halogen full beam very bright now !!

Regards

Mark

Cars fitted with Xenon lights from new had to have automatic leveling devices fitted by law. You'll just have to muck about with shims/spacers or something.

There are 2 manual alignment adjusters built into the head light unit itself, just go to a local garage and have them align the lights the same as you would any other lights.

If its the same as the D3, there are 2 star shaped adjusters on the back of each lamp unit. 1 adjusts left / right, the other up / down. You need to engage a Phillips screw driver so it turns the star adjusters.

I adjusted my D3 xenons without removing them. A bit fiddly, but entirely possible.

Use the site search and enter +xenon +adjustment for loads of information. Thumbs Up

They can be adjusted very easily without removal, park 5 mtrs from a wall or door on level ground with the lights on dip, the adjusters can be seen from the top of the lamps with the bonnet open looking down, they are located in a recess, ISTR they have a 6mm head with lugs on the bottom that a large philips screw driver will fit into for easy adjustment.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

What he said Thumbs Up They have to be adjusted "on the car" because you would never get them level otherwise. Any garage will be able to do this for you Smile

Any MoT Testing Station should be able to do this for you relatively cheaply, too. Thumbs Up
