D4 and Thule 929 - one indicator on Thule not working

Hi -

Hope this is the right forum to post in. Apologies if not.

I received a new Thule 929 bike rack today. I got the 13 to 7 pin adaptor. All lights are working except the left indicator (and obviously the reverse lights as it's 7 pin).

Does the one indicator not working sound like a D4 electrics issue or a Thule issue? The car is 2nd hand and it's the first time I'm using the towing electrics.

Thanks

I have the same issue, depending how hard I wiggle the plug I get legt or right but rarely both at the same time.

I think it is the pins in the plug pushing out of line and as such not mating properly. I plan a replacement plug at some point on the Thule which is a bit more sturdy.

I'll have to try wiggling the plug to see if I get the same results. Any idea of the cost to change to a 13 pin on the D4?

I read somewhere that the electrics don't naturally support LED's but wasn't sure how it manifested itself. Do some lights work or do none at all?

Probably the best thing diagnostic is to do a circuit/continuity test on the LR socket first. Either with a meter or a built and a couple of wires. Then work out from there!

EDIT: '"built" = "bulb" dam ipads!
